Why doesn't the example run?

newbie. downloaded the superpack from the site. simplecv.org/download
in the opencv/samples folder fails to run any of the examples with the .py extension, or rather closes instantly. in the example where the image should simply be displayed on the screen, it is not displayed. win10 OS.

Run from the command line and look at the output - it will say what's wrong.
