Why doesn't the design/scheme/layout of a subcategory change in opencart2 build ocStore 2.1.0.2.1?

In general, I had such a task, to make the category just pictures, when you click on the picture, it goes to a subcategory with products, the layouts for them are not standard. If the layout is applied to a category, then everything works, if the layout is applied to a subcategory, then the layout is still applied - Category, layouts were made from category.php and category.tpl ,
