Why doesn't scrolling on the touchpad work after installing windows 8?

Touchpad on a Samsung laptop. Reinstalling drivers doesn't help.

Often, you need to install an additional program on laptops in order for scrolling to work. Nothing specific can be said without a model. Offsite drivers?

Maybe the curve driver itself, or something with the touchpad physically. Try it on Windows 7 or 10, or on Linux in general, the Live version of the same Mint, it fully supports a lot of equipment right out of the box, it will suddenly be better.
