Why doesn't redirect work in Safari?

Hello, there is a site, let's say site.ru. We made a simple redirect to site.rf, it works everywhere except Safari on all iPhone 4 devices. Everything is fine on the models above. What could be the problem?
Safari throws an error:
Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found.

The problem may be in the old version of Safari :)
Try adding www or http:// before site.rf
