Why doesn't phpstorm show a new git branch?

Just started working with git:
- made the first commit to the master branch;
- created a new buffer branch;
- made the first commit to the buffer branch.
Why doesn't phpstorm show the master branch?

Because there are no other new commits in master. That is, there is a branch, but there is only one branch in it, so it does not represent. If you return to master and add a new commit, but it probably will.
