Why doesn't mongodb work on ubuntu 16.04?

Hi everybody! I've been fighting with ubuntu and mongodb for a week now. I had never worked with them before, I decided to try something new and caught such a fence of insurmountable strength.

Mongodb installed according to the instructions from the official site

Please help. What am I doing wrong?

I had the same. See point 5 here https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/tutorial/install-m... and try to set locale

write "sudo mongod"
