Why doesn't KMplayer open video by url?

In KMplayer, when trying to paste the address of any video into the URL bar, it constantly gives the error "The URL or file cannot be opened. The server is not responding, or the path was entered incorrectly." What could be the problem ?

There are many options:
1) You specify the html page address, not the video address.
2) Perhaps the server checks the headers.
3) etc...
You at least give an example of addresses from the video.
