Why doesn't Intellij IDEA create a servlet?

After calling the menu with the alt+insert key combination and a window appears asking for the name of the new servlet, entering the name of the servlet and further confirmation, nothing happens. That is, no new servlet class is added to the package, although the regular class is created as expected. What can cause this IDEA behavior?
