Why doesn't ejabberd work on a domain?

Installed ejabberd on the server, added an administrator and was able to log into the admin panel only by IP , I can’t log into the admin panel via the domain. As well as connecting through the client, it turns out only through IP, if I try [email protected], it stupidly does not connect.
What could be the problem ?

Does the ip of the domain match the ip address of the server?
In the ejabberd config there is a setting which addresses/domains to listen on
