We go to the Windows 7 computer with the appropriate user without administrator rights. We make sure that the Downloads folder is located on the server, in a folder like \\%servername%\User Files$\%username%\Downloads. With the help of the explorer, we make sure that you can copy an arbitrary file from the local disk to the folder.
We make sure that in the settings of the freshly installed Chrome, the location is the same as above. We are trying to download something, for example, a pdf or a picture. In the panel and download history, the result is always the same. "Failed to download." The result does not depend on the state of the "Always specify download location" checkbox.
Open Internet Explorer or Firefox. We make sure that in both cases the download folder is the same. Downloading. Everything is downloading.

Apnu topic. Completely the same problem. Only now also the 4talk application. Cannot save received files in the path \\contoso.com\dfs\redirectionfolders\username\Dowload\4talk\
