Why doesn't chrome display fonts correctly?

Recently chrome started displaying PT Sans font in italics. All other browsers display this font as it should or based on css. But chrome is lying.
Perhaps the reason lies in the fact that I somehow installed fonts on the PC, I believe the reason is precisely this. But then all browsers would display this font incorrectly. Although this is not so ...
Who will tell you how to solve this issue?

Try to Google write "Why do fonts look different in different browsers"? There are a huge number of articles on this topic.
In a nutshell, each browser renders a font differently.
