Why doesn't a free domain work with freenom?

Owned a free domain from freenom.com. I tried to stick it to the digitalocean, but for some reason it does not work. DNS does not resolve address (ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED). Added domain in digitalocean settings. Am I supposed to report anywhere else?
