Why does Windows 7 always blue screen on boot?
I have an old Toshiba Satellite l300-22l laptop that refuses to boot the OS at all. When loading Windows 7 (it is on hard), it shows a blue screen, and a constantly different error code, and when you try to install Linux (Ubuntu, Lubuntu, Mint), an inscription appears:
SYSLINUX 4.06 EDD 4.06-pre7 Copyright (C) 1994-2012 H. Peter Anvin et al

I hate fortune-telling on coffee grounds.
First of all, try to boot from some flash drive or LiveCD. If successful, then you have problems with the HDD / SSD - you need to change it.
If it doesn't load, try changing the RAM. If this does not help, it is better to leave the idea, because the laptop is really not young anymore.
