Why does vs code take a long time to open?

Visual Studio Code

VS Code began to open files (even small ones) for several seconds. Very annoying delay. I suspect it's the plugins. I turned off some of them, it got better, but still there is no former lightness.
Is there any way to optimize other than disabling plugins one by one and checking?
