Why does vmware create networks?

Good day to all! There are a couple of questions about

  • 1. 2 VM networks have been created in the network control center, why are they needed? When I turn them off, everything works, just like when they are turned on.
  • 2. There are times when the virtual machine either loses the network, or something else happens, but links in the browser stop working in the virtual machine, only restarting the browser helps.

All essence

1. VMnet1 - virtual adapter with settings to create a local subnet only between the VM and the host machine. VMnet8 is a virtual adapter with settings for creating a local subnet with NAT between the VM and the host machine (roughly speaking, a router between them). You are most likely using the Bridged VM connection type, i.e. you are using a real network adapter in bridged mode. Virtual adapters are not involved, so their status does not affect anything.
2. If restarting the browser helps, then look for the reason in it. The web is independent of the browser. Perhaps the servers are protected from clickers, so the click does not accept.
