Why does ubuntu boot into rescue mode?

After setting /etc/default/grub, the system boots into rescue mode and requires ctrl + d to continue. How can this be fixed?

Boot from a flash drive, mount the fs and fix the hornbeam back - or press ctrl + d and run it manually. help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/%D0%B2%D0%BE%D1%81%D1%81%D1%82...
