Possible memory failure. Find a livsd with memtest and run the test.
It is also possible:
1.failed installation disk (unlikely)
2.dead hdd
and further on the degree of decreasing the probability:
- faulty motherboard
- processor
Broken image from which you put. Where did you get the distribution? Box, torrent, "friend drove"? If the first option - make a copy to a flash drive and install from it, if the last two - look for a working image.
