Why does the screen freeze in Ubuntu 15.10?
I installed a new version of Ubuntu 15.10 and the following problems immediately began: most often when Google Chrome or a media player is running, the screen freezes completely, except for the movement of the mouse cursor. I can move it around the screen, but there is no reaction to any pressing, as well as to any key combination, including Ctrl + Alt + F1.
PS The sound also disappeared completely, but this is a slightly different problem.

That's why I switched back to stable 14.04.3. But this is the tenth thing, what kind of video card do you have and what DE is used is of fundamental importance? If pure Ubuntu, then in chrome this is a known cant, do this to fix it.
chrome://flags and disable the Override software rendering list item
Or turn off hardware video acceleration altogether (if you have an Intel card)
Theoretically, in the bug tracker it was written that this was fixed in beta, try it:
sudo apt-get install google-chrome-beta
But I advise you to quit this kaku and return to the system with long support.
