Why does the response come from another network when contacting the netbios name?
There is a physically shared network in which two address ranges live: 192.168.1.0/24, 10.0.0.0/24.
There is a mediaserver file cleaner. It has two ip addresses on one interface: 192.168.1.2 and 10.0.0.2.
And so today the computers which are in 192.168.1.0 at the ping mediaserver command suddenly began to receive the answer from 10.0.0.2. Moreover, the dns mechanism here, in theory, should not be involved.
How is this even possible: a response to a net bios name from another network?
