Why does the PC not see the QR code scanner?

I bought a scanner ( link ) and ran into a problem. My PC does not see its COM port. Does anyone know how to solve this? I will be very grateful.

Did you read the description?

The barcode scanner works directly with a computer without any applications: it pretends to be a typical USB keyboard and outputs the read data as a line of text. This is the default mode of operation.

Please note that we were unable to put the scanner into virtual COM port mode, as indicated in the instructions. According to the manufacturer, this feature is reserved for the future.
