Why does the PC get very hot if the thermal paste is fresh?
My PC gets very hot. Yesterday we replaced the power supply with a more powerful one, it was 450, it became 700, I also changed the thermal paste. Yesterday I went into the game, well, a game like a strategy for not particularly demanding on hardware, you can even play it on the phone. I turned off the PC, took off the lid, well, it doesn’t smell burnt, but everything so hot hurts to touch both percents and vidyuha and mother, and what struck me in general was that the hard drive also warmed up. I decided to unfasten the wire from the hard drive. Well, it seems not so hot, but still warm enough. And strangely, I have a video game 960 for 4 GB, but it heats up more than everything else.

Are the ventilation holes blocked? Is there enough space for hot air to escape? Is the PSU fan working properly?
Check all air flows. It sucks in on one side and blows out on the other. And the CPU cooler should blow in the right direction.
The video card must have enough space for air to be sucked in.
The PSU should not and cannot be hot outside. Especially at 700 W (if not some kind of kakaha), check the place of suction.
The processor heat sink should be fixed according to the instructions and hold tight, but not to the limit.
You can put another cooler on the screws.
See temperatures in aida64 or gpu-z. You can send screenshots or logs during the game here.
Here, most likely, there is a broblem either in contacts or in a new 700-watt PSU. For the first five minutes, everything works fine and then it starts to warm up.
