Why does the modsecurity error occur?

Unable to install modsecurity. Gives an error message

Syntax error on line 187 of /etc/modsecurity/modsecurity.conf:
ModSecurity: Failed to open the audit log file: /var/log/apache2/modsec_audit.log

What could be the problem?

1. The config could not be viewed (the file is closed).
2. I'll try to play Python and assume that there are problems with write permissions to this file /var/log/apache2/modsec_audit.log

Well, look for the presence of the path and file /var/log/apache2/modsec_audit.log
Make sure that Apache has write permissions to this directory and file.
