Why does the makemessages call throw an error?

I connect localization on the site.
Calling makemessages throws the following error:
CommandError: Can't find msguniq. Make sure you have GNU gettext tools 0.15 or newer installed.
Why put this gettext? I don’t look at anyone, and in the Django documentation, and in the tutorials, this nonsense is absolutely not covered everywhere. Everyone just type makemessages -l <language> and that's it, no problem.
What is nonsense?
