Why does the main page sometimes open in saved tabs with Habr pages?
For several years now, in different browsers - Chrome, Opera, Vivaldi, and different operating systems (except, perhaps, mobile ones), a strange thing has been observed - if there were tabs with Habr pages in the browser when closing, then when the browser is opened (configured to open the last session at startup) and switching to these tabs, sometimes the main Habr opens instead of a certain page. Moreover, the transition to the main page is carried out in some way so that the "Back" button in the browser remains inactive. You have to remember what kind of article was opened there, climb into history or search the site. Does anyone else have this happen?

The Habr support service periodically receives messages about this problem. Personally, I have been keeping a list of these messages since 2017. During this time, the project manager twice allocated developers to find the cause of the problem. However, it was not possible to establish the reason capable of leading to such behavior ( as well as purposefully reproduce this behavior of the site in the browser ). Perhaps the problem is due to some peculiarities of the local environment and its cause can only be determined by comparing the environment of users who reported this problem in detail. In my opinion, this is inappropriate. For now, I hope that with the transition to a new design, this problem will be solved by itself.
