Why does the MacBook Pro 16 battery last 3 hours?

Good afternoon. I bought a 16 inch MacBook Pro in January of this year and after updating to Mac OS big sur the battery lasted about 3 hours when using Google Chrome with about 10 tabs or less, visual studio code and php storm for web development. Is this even normal for a $2,000 laptop? Does everyone have this problem and is there any way to solve it?
