Why does the game minimize on any click past its window?

There is a game (FIFA Manager 08) that runs in windowed mode. If you click anywhere other than the game window, the game is minimized, and everything that was happening in it stops. That is, I cannot start the match and start reading the Internet - when I switch to the browser, the game will instantly collapse. I wish there was some way to keep the game open...

The network writes that the "full screen" setting must be turned off if the parameter is used -windowed.
