Why does the echo server work in eclipse, but completely refuses to work in an executable file?

I'm writing a simple echo server using the standard nio library.
I test in Eclip, I connect, everything works great. But as soon as I export all this into an executable jar - file, it stops working. The external device does not connect at all.
Why is this happening and how to fix it?
