Why does the Apache server config refer to the /private directory on macOS?
On macOS, in the apache web server config file (httpd.conf), the directives refer to files in the /private directory (for example, ErrorLog "/private/var/log/apache2/error_log"). Google told me that this is a macOS service directory, and it’s better not to get into it with your hands once again. At the same time, I can find the same ErrorLog along the same path, but from the root, without /private (that is, along the path /var/log/apache2/error_log I will find the same file).
Actually, the question is why the default apache config refers specifically to this service directory, and not to the usual path without / private, is this normal?
