Why does Sublime Text save text files without an extension?

In Sublime itself (bottom right) I select Plain text, I save it when I close it. In the save window, the default is All Files, I also choose Plain Text here, give a name, the result is still without an extension. And this is only with txt. Everything is fine with others.
Why?
