Why does Sublime Text 3 remove slashes?

The sublime itself removes slashes in regular expressions, including the newline character.
1. What is the problem? In installed plugins?
2. Also, how to disable whitespace highlighting in this editor?
For me, it highlights spaces with dots, tabs with stripes. It seems that it was a plugin that I installed when I just downloaded the sublime, but now it does not show such a plugin in the installed lists. And in general, the name of this plugin can not even be found again in the internet.

Try to remove the slash character ( / ) in the settings for this parameter "word_separators": "./\\()\"'-:,.;<>[email protected]#$%^&*|+=[]{}` ~?"
