Why does SSH on Raspberry disappear when USB 3.0 is connected?

Hello.
Hardware: Raspberry PI 4B.
Connected via Chinese adapter 5V - 3A.
OS: Ubuntu 19.10 (GNU/Linux 5.3.0-1022-raspi2 aarch64).

The situation is this: connected to a raspberry via SSH, I plug a 1TB hard drive into the USB 3.0 port and get an SSH session drop.
I restart the raspberry, ssh does not rise on it. There was a theory that it was all about power, then I tried to connect raspberries through an adapter from a macbook (the one that gives out up to 85W), I repeat all the steps - the same situation.

I tried to take a flash drive with USB 2.0, stuck it into both 3.0 and 2.0 ports, there were no problems. I took a flash drive with USB 3.0, everything works in ports 2.0, I stick it into port 3.0 - the session falls.

In general, in order to connect an external drive (be it a flash drive or a hard drive) with USB 3.0 to a raspberry, I did not find any options other than plugging it into a 2.0 port.
Tell me, what could be the reason for such a reaction of raspberries to USB 3.0 devices, and how can this be fixed?

It's most likely a matter of nutrition.
You have a flaw in the test with another PSU, the 85W unit from the MacBook gives these 85W only to Apple equipment, third-party devices receive no more than 1A, do not use any Apple PSU to test third-party equipment, in most cases they fail.
In fact, does the USB3.0 bridge simply turn off or the entire board? You can check with uptime.

Perfect mysticism - SSh refers to the network subsystem, and USB - to the local one. Those. I don't see where they can intersect.
You need to look at the logs - something like /var/logs/messages : there sshd should write why it crashed during operation or does not start at startup.
