Why does RDP lag so much on linux?
There are 2 servers:
8 xeon cores + 8GB of RAM
4 Ampere cores + 24GB of RAM I installed
bundles of ubuntu desktop + xrdp and xfce4 + VNC. Everything lags a lot.
On the server, the speed is more than gigabit (I measured it with a speedtest through a browser)
, at my house the speed is 70-80 Mbps
It seems that in addition to installing the shell and rdp server, you need to install something else or configure something.
Here is a video so that you understand what delays I have:

Install either x2go or xspice , or both. And don't bother with rdp under linux.
On Ubuntu and Debian, the xrdp package is buggy, if you install the same CentOS or any other distribution, you will see that everything is normal there and there are no lags in the xrdp operation.
PS I myself could not understand for a long time why such garbage, but it turned out to be a distribution kit.
1. disable DE animation
2. enable compression on xrdp server
3. select fewer colors in server settings...
On Linux, there is no pure RDP, there is only a translator in VNC. If you install a VNC server on Windows, you will see that it also messes up. I think the problem is with VNC.
I am now making an image for vdi on mint, it works well, do you have an ssd disk?
