Why does rails_admin reset to the current month?

In rails_admin, in the date field, I specify the month, for example, October

, then I click save. Everything is well preserved. But if I click edit record and do not touch this date field, and click save, then the month is reset to the current month! The day and year remain as they should, only the month is reset. What could be the problem?

Most likely the problem is that the name of the month is in Russian. How is the date stored in the database?
