Why does PyCharm keep working?

Hello.

A year ago I bought a PyCharm license for a year. A year has passed and the editor is still running with full features and I don't see any limitations.

Question:

Does the license give only updates?

Around the time you bought, there was a change in the licensing model:

• old model - you bought the program and at least a year of free updating, at the end of the period you received a perpetual license for the version of the product that was at the end of the update period
  
• new model - subscription for at least a year, at least for a month, if you had a continuous subscription for a year, then by the end of the year you will receive a perpetual license for the version that was at the beginning of this period
