Why does php change its width with height when loading an image?

Uploading an image, crying it out imagecreatefromjpeg. those that are horizontal go without problems during further processing, while the vertical php turns on its side .. what can be?

Because of the exif information in the image file. Remove exif when uploading to the server - I think the problems will disappear.
