Why does my PC freeze when booting from a flash drive?
Hello , I
have an ancient PC with Windows XP, it works
flawlessly (Celeron E1200, HP Compaq dc7800, 4x512 DDR2 RAM)
I want to reinstall on Windows 7, when I try to boot a bootable flash drive, it freezes when loading the OS (just a black screen after the loading bars and on 8, and on Windows 10), when trying to boot from the installation flash drive, the same garbage (the window with the Windows logo, I tried different ones). He sees flash drives in the OS, in the BIOS you can set the boot from them, he even tries to boot, but alas. I changed flash drives (2.0 and 3.0, I didn’t insert it into usb 3.0 because it doesn’t exist) and checked for performance.
Tell me where to dig?

1/ try to boot from Live Windows 7 from a flash drive
2/ correct image of Windows 7 + rufus
What OS bitness are you installing (32/64)? Perhaps due to the amount of RAM you should try to install a 32 bit OS.
