Why does MS SQL consume a lot of RAM?

There is a 1C server on MSSQL, which simultaneously employs about 40 people.
From 64GB of RAM, MSSQL 40GB + various services and dispatchers, total 90%. Is this resource consumption normal?

If during working hours, when all 40 users are working hard, it's normal.
If at night, then you already need to understand the reasons.
The gluttony of MSSQL and other DBMS is also normal, the payment for the speed of work.

For MS SQL, this is normal: the SQL server tries to take up as much memory as possible for caching tables.
With 1C on one server recommends limiting MS SQL. For example . There is more .
