Why does module 'pygame' has no attribute 'init' error occur?

Error module 'pygame' has no attribute 'init'. pygame.py is not. I renamed the folders - it does not work. Windows XP, pyton 3.4 32 bit, pygame-1.9.2a0.win32-py3.2.msi, downloaded from www.pygame.org Installed in Script folder. import pygame passes without error. Thank you in advance for your response. I really hope for advice.
