Why does Illustrator CC hang on startup?
Greetings.
I ran into the following problem - Illustrator CC hangs at startup.
More details:
Axis - Seven, license, Service Pack 1, all updates. Illustrator CC, a recently purchased subscription (license), before that there were no problems with it, it worked like clockwork.
The following happens. It loads, its main window opens and that's it, it hangs, all that remains is to shoot the process in the task manager. When you try not only to start Illustrator, but open some file with it, it starts up, you can assign a workspace and that's it, it freezes. All other Adobe products work, there are no such problems.
Reinstalling Illustrator, Creative Cloud itself, and even Windows were unsuccessful.
I hope very much for your help. Thank you.

Was the problem somehow solved? Faced a similar one, I just can not win.
I had the same problem with Ill 2018. On the forum, Adobe found a solution: change the default printer, then return the old one. I don't know how the printer and illustrator are connected, but it helped me, the illustrator worked.
Other solutions included: disabling the GPU, updating drivers for Wacom products (tablets there, pen and all)
My problem turned out to be
that Illustrator incorrectly saved some data
to one of its folders - there was a "broken" file that
could not be deleted even under the admin..
Unfortunately, I don't remember what kind of file and
in what folder - but I remember well how it is fixed
(Windows 7, AI2019):
- open the properties of the "C: \" drive (right-click on the drive, properties)
- on the "service" tab, click "check disk" (this is a system disk, a message will appear about that the check will be performed when the computer is restarted)
- reboot, wait for the disk check to finish and the system to start
. That's all, now this buggy software should start ..
Conclusion: switch to "non-buggy" software (CoralDraw?) or keep looking for a stable version.
(if you find it let me know)
