Why does fps drop with ajax?

In crome I open two windows for two monitors, on one I watch a movie (KMP, youtube) in the other my site, the site sends a couple of requests per minute, and at that moment fps drops on the other monitor. Tried to change monitors (i.e. tabs), same thing.

Perhaps the request sends / receives too much content and the processor of your computer "does not have time" to process everything, as a result - freezes :)
Alternatively, use a fox.
