Why does Dreamveawer hang when I insert a script async src with some .js?

I insert and at that moment the dreamweaver freezes, then releases, but if you edit this line, it freezes again, as if it is performing some operation with this line when it sees it. Maybe some settings can be turned off? <script async src="//www...../file.js"></script>

Add http or https. // hangs, it first tries to determine the protocol, and then connects.
