Why does APT hang on Waiting For Headers?
Good afternoon, maybe someone faced such a problem: after apt-get update on Debian 8, some mirrors hang with the text Waiting for headers [100%]? The server accesses the Internet via squid, on the proxy in the traffic dump I see
500 HTTP/1.1 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable (text/html)

try. looks like it's screwed up
rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/
rm -rf /var/lib/apt/archive/partial/
Try also changing the mirrors to .de , .fi or .se - sometimes it helps (unless, of course, we are talking about security.debian.org)
