Why does AE lag so much on Macbook 2019 (video)?

Not a heavy project, weighs less than 1MB.
It lags a lot when dragging blocks on the timeline, adding shapes, and loads the entire project for a very long time after minor changes.

The problem is on both AE 2021 and AE 2020. I tried different optimization settings: 30 frames, all RAM under AE, quality Quarter - nothing helps.
I suspect that there may be some kind of problem with the cache, because. when turned on, it swears that there is not enough free space, although 65GB is available on the disk, and only 10GB is allocated for the cache, I don’t understand why:

1. I had exactly the same laptop. This is due to the clogging of the RAM.
I put CleanMyMac and poked the "clear RAM" button - it solved the problem.
Well, or in the terminal, enter "sudo purge" without quotes. - This will reset the RAM. But for me it's easier to put a "cleaner" and clean the RAM in 2 clicks in the tray.
"it takes a long time to load the entire project after minor changes" - not surprising, all keys must be re-rendered for preview.
(Check if you have Metal enabled in settings)
2.
