Why does a symbolic link to a folder not work correctly on timeweb hosting, why can't I transfer data through it?

Uploaded the site on Laravel to timeweb hosting. The site uses file uploads by the admin. Further, the uploaded images are displayed on the main page. For loading I use the built-in filуsystem. Everything is stored in the storage/app/public folder. The global public folder has a symbolic link to the storage/app/public folder. On the local server, everything works fine, but on the hosting, the data does not want to be transferred through a symbolic link to the folder. I changed the rights, and changed the links for everyone, nothing helped.
