Why does a "stripped down" version of PyCharm launch when opening .py files?
Hello.
Installed PyCharm Community Edition. When you launch the icon - everything works. But as soon as you click on any .py file, some kind of miserable version of PyCharm opens - without a menu, the usual functionality. What could be the problem?

Welcome to 2020 .
A project is not only files in a folder, it is also a customized interpreter, database connections, startup commands, and so on. When opening a spherical py file in a vacuum, all this is not pulled up, and the intellectual functions are limited. Launch PyCharm via start, open your project and create new files via the PyCharm menu.
