Why does a film printer start to print faintly?
Hello. There is a sublimation (film) printer HID FARGO DTC1250e, which can apply an image to plastic key cards (passes, badges for access control, etc.). Suddenly, he began to transfer colors poorly to plastic: everything looks bright on the screen, pale on the finished card.
According to the user (although, of course, we do not believe him), nothing has changed. The layout of the picture, the printer settings, the opening software, the printer itself, the blanks of the cards - "everything is like yesterday", but the color rendition has become worse.
What happened and how can it be fixed on the spot without resorting to the services of the service? The only official explanation is that the tape is running out. But in my case, there is a film, it is still far from being completed.
