Why do such large sites as yandex and hh incorrectly determine the user's location?
I go to yandex.ru or hh.ru from St. Petersburg.
And I observe the following picture:
Eldorado and other large stores have the same thing.
As I understand it, the user's geolocation occurs by ip address, which is not always accurate?
So there are services like dadata that solve this problem.
Why are they not being used? Indeed, on such sites it is a jamb and at least illogical.

Yandex response:
Thank you for your feedback!
The definition of the region on our services is based on the IP address.
The fact is that your IP address belongs to a network with several regions, and by default we will not be able to determine the location more accurately yet.
Please use manual tuning on the page https://yandex.ru/tune/geo .
Have you checked how your IP is resolved in dadata / maxmind?
Determining a large city is a very simple task, even free bases give excellent accuracy.
the provider has a pool of addresses and they are issued dynamically, incl. if the service is not tied to the geolocation data of the OPSOS, then there may be discrepancies.
