Why do RDP sessions to WIndows Server 2012 R2 freeze every time?
Good afternoon.
There is a fairly large fleet of servers with 2008R2 and 2012R2 server Windows.
There is an intermediate gateway machine on which 2008R2 is installed. It has RDP for the entire server park.
When you open RDP to a machine with 20008R2, there are no problems, everything works properly.
The problem occurs when you try to connect to 2012R2. After entering the login and password, the RDP window opens, but the contents of the window are either just a black screen or "one frame" is loaded, i.e. something that was open on the desktop, but the content is not active. I have to close the RDP window (and it only closes with an error). This situation is not always repeated and happens with incomprehensible frequency. Sometimes it comes in the first time and everything is ok. Sometimes with an error you have to close the window several times.
They gave advice to lower the bit depth of the image to a minimum in the mstsc settings when connecting. It seems that there are indeed more "successful entries", but the problem has not been completely resolved.
Maybe someone knows what the problem is?

If anyone was interested in the conflict between crypto pro and mstsc. They seem to be aware of this problem...
1. What errors are logged on the "host" and "client"?
2. Did you try to change the rdp encryption level?
