Why do layout designers want to typeset from .psd and don't want Figma? What can be offered to them?
I got a job as a designer, I wanted to make layouts in Figma or Adobe HD, but they told me that they tried Figma in the company and that layout designers from Figma take much longer to typeset, and therefore it is unprofitable. Because of this, you have to tinker with Photoshop.
I'm not a coder and I don't know why. Why do they get it quickly from .psd, but for a long time from Figma? What solution can be proposed to make life easier for both designers and layout designers in Figma?
What is the difference between layout from Figma and from Photoshop?

The maker is in touch. From colleagues at a loss, figma is a great tool.
Firstly, there is a web version, you do not need to install / update anything.
Second, teamwork.
You can leave comments directly in the layout, you can see the cursors of users who are also watching the project (it's much easier to discuss the layout on a call when you can see where the person is looking). To show a layout to one of your colleagues, just throw a link.
Thirdly, since the project is online, there is no confusion with the files that the designer sends you if there were any changes in the layout.
To push the figma, it seems to me, on the one hand, you need to try it in some "non-urgent" project. So that layout designers can easily master the tool, without management pressure about unprofitable long work. On the other hand, find out from layout designers what Photoshop is better for in their opinion and try to find an alternative in Figma.
People are used to working with photoshop. While new neural connections in the brain are formed when learning to work with figma, time will pass, and all this time the layout designers will slow down the process.
It is possible that they work with psd through avocode, but it is really more convenient for a layout designer.
With the transition of the designer to the figma, I was also unusual. At first I imported .fig into the same avocode, but then I stopped and got used to typesetting directly from figma.
So it's easy to explain that figma is the most suitable tool for interface design than fsh, and nothing can be done with the transition to it. You can also introduce them to the interface, upload lessons, etc. (How to hide layers, measure distances, where to look at the size of elements, look at colors / fonts, pull out graphics)
