Why do font artifacts show up in Linux Mint 16 Petra Cinnamon 64-bit on Firefox 25?

Hello. A freshly installed Linux Mint 16 Petra Cinnamon 64-bit in Firefox 25 shows font artifacts. In other applications, this is not the case, what could be?
